PARAMARIBO – Het partijcongres van de Vooruitstrevende Hervormings Partij (VHP) dat was geconvoceerd voor gisteren kon niet doorgaan, omdat er gebrek was aan qourum. Het vereiste aantal stemgerechtigde leden was niet lijfelijk aanwezig. Om rechtsgeldig te kunnen vergaderen is tweederde deel (659) van de stemgerechtigden nodig. Hoewel 665 stemgerechtigden de presentielijst hadden getekend, heeft de partijleiding de vergadering uitgesteld, omdat het vereiste aantal van 659 stemgerechtigden niet lijfelijk aanwezig was in de vergaderzaal. American woman found dead in Italy
U.S. – American artist Ashley Olsen has been found dead at her apartment in Florence, Italy. Her death is being treated as a homicide, police spokeswoman Maddalena Carosi said on Italian TV.
