Trump matigt toon over marteling

Mother discovers she is a ‘super-ovulator’

ENGLAND – A mother of twin boys was stunned to discover she was a ‘super-ovulator’ after discovering she was expecting twins again. Katy Walton gave birth to sons Noah and Bailey Rivington in 2010 with no previous history of twins in the family.

But the 35-year-old was left speechless in September after an early scan confirmed she was expecting twin boys again with new husband Ross. A twin specialist told Mrs Walton, from Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, this could be down to her releasing two eggs each month rather than one – also known as ‘super-ovulation’. ‘The first time around, I didn’t think that having twins was even a possibility. I can’t describe the shock of learning that there were two babies in there,’ she said.(dailymail.co.uk)…[+]

‘Caring for Orphans within the Islamic State’: ISIS video showing future fighters

SYRIA – ISIS has released a new video allegedly showing an orphanage full of children being trained as the next generation of fighters.  The three-minute clip, which appears to have been professionally shot in Syria, initially starts by showing the orphans playing with toys and being fed.  But, in a sinister twist, it also cuts to images of the black-and-white ISIS flag as well as showing a group of young boys being forced to carry out ‘Army’ exercises on a dusty concrete square. An older boy can be seen forcing them to run around the edge of the area, before making them complete a number of push-ups. The clip, which has been labeled ‘Caring for Orphans within the Islamic State’ by the terror group, starts by showing the tiny orphans playing with brightly colored blocks before sipping squash and sitting round a table to eat a meal.

Malaysia model hits back at Muslim critics

MALAYSIA – A Malaysian model has hit back at critics who say it is inappropriate for her to compete in a modeling TV show. Nuraini Noor, also known by her stage name Tuti, was recently unveiled as one of 14 contestants in the latest season of Asia’s Next Top Model. The news triggered online comments from Malaysians saying it was wrong for a Muslim woman to take part.

However, Ms Noor told the BBC she respected everyone’s opinions, but did not like to put labels on anything. “What really separates us is not skin color nor religion. It’s opportunity,” she told the BBC via email. Malaysia is known to be a moderate Muslim country, but has seen rising religious sentiment in recent years. Ms Noor is said to be the show’s first ethnic Malay participant. Malays make up the majority of Malaysia’s population and are mostly Muslim.(BBC)…[+]
