Ardent Hillary Clinton supporter Mark Cuban met with President-elect Donald Trump’s soon-to-be chief strategist Steve Bannon at a swanky bar in Midtown Manhattan Tuesday afternoon.

A photo obtained by TMZ showed the two chatting at a window-side table at the King Cole Bar inside the upscale St. Regis hotel, which is just a few blocks from Trump Tower.  The photo appears to show the two having coffee or tea, and Bannon has a small nondescript notebook in front of him on a round table. Cops are looking for a Brooklyn priest who went missing in Midtown, officials said. Father John Ephraim, 49, of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Marine Park, Brooklyn was last seen at about 6 p.m. Monday near 7th Ave. and E. 47th St., police said.

Police said a 29-year-old friend of the priest reported him missing. Ephraim had stopped taking his medication for an unspecified condition some time before his disappearance, sources said. Ephraim is 5-foot-5 and weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black overcoat, black pants, a black long sleeve shirt with a white priest collar and black sneakers.(nydailynews.com)…[+]

An Italian restaurant that inadvertently hosted white nationalists cheering President-elect Donald Trump has apologized and announced plans to re-gift their earnings from the dinner in Washington. The mysterious last-minute reservation Friday at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Friendship Heights brought diners attending a conference hosted by the National Policy Institute, an alt-right think tank categorized as a white nationalist group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Tennessee bus driver behind the wheel during a wreck that left five children dead was speeding “well above” the posted speed limit on a narrow, winding road, authorities said. Johnthony Walker — charged with five counts of vehicular homicide for the deaths of five Woodmore Elementary School students — lost control of the bus after he drove at “a high rate of speed” on the tiny Chattanooga road, police wrote in an arrest affidavit. Three fourth graders, a first grader and a kindergartner were killed in the wreck. Another dozen kids remained hospitalized Tuesday morning, six of whom are in critical condition. A wanted man shot a 46-year-old St. Louis cop in the face — twice — fearing he would be recognized while driving alongside the officer on Sunday, authorities said.

The on-duty sergeant with St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department was waiting for traffic to move near Hampton and Pernod Aves. around 7:30 p.m. when his assailant drove up to the marked SUV and opened fire, blasting out his window. “He saw the muzzle flashes and felt the glass breaking in his window as the shots came through and struck him in the head,” said police Chief Sam Dotson at a press conference. Fellow cops flocked to the shooting five miles southwest of the city center after the wounded officer managed to call for help on his radio. A Bronx mother found her 19-year-old son fatally shot in his bedroom Sunday afternoon, police said. Jose Hart’s mom made the horrific discovery when she walked into his room and found him lying there with a gunshot wound to his torso in their Southern Boulevard apartment near Westchester Ave. in Foxhurst at about 12:30 p.m., police said. A police officer in Alabama was fired after posting racist memes on Facebook, including one of First Lady Michelle Obama, officials announced. The controversial post featured text over a picture of Melania Trump reading, “Fluent in Slovenian, English, French, Serbian, and German.” Below it, the words “Fluent in Ghetto” were laid over a photo of Obama. A San Antonio cop has died after a gunman shot him in the head while making a traffic stop outside police headquarters Sunday, authorities said. The shooting happened at 11:45 a.m. near police headquarters on S. Santa Rosa and W. Nueva, police said.
