Trump won’t sue women who accused him of sexual misconduct, sources say

President-elect Donald Trump is letting some bygones be bygones, but not others.

Sources close to The Donald’s victorious campaign team tell us now that the billionaire will be running the country, he no longer plans to sue nearly a dozen women who’ve accused him of sexual misconduct in the weeks leading up to the election.

“Trump has decided not to pursue the lawsuits against the women who spoke out against him,” says an insider with close ties to Trump. “The Trump camp went to attorneys to discuss the lawsuits, but they have no plans to pursue them.”(nydailynews.com)…[+]

Russia had contact with Trump campaign

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told state-run Interfax news agency that some of his colleagues had corresponded with the Trump camp.

“Obviously, we know most of the people from his entourage,” Ryabkov said. “Those people have always been in the limelight in the United States and have occupied high-ranking positions. I cannot say that all of them but quite a few have been staying in touch with Russian representatives.”

“We have just begun to consider ways of building dialogue with the future Donald Trump administration and channels we will be using for those purposes,” Ryabkov added. Boyfriend of missing Texas teen arrested after her mother and sister are found dead in home

A Houston-area man believed to be hiding information about his missing 16-year-old girlfriend and her slain mother and sister was arrested, police said.

Despite the late hour, massive protests broke out across the country almost immediately after Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States.

The largest protests were staged on the West Coast, where angry demonstrators chanting “not our president” and “f–k Trump” took to the streets of Berkeley, Oakland and Los Angeles.In Oakland, people burned an effigy of Trump, smashed windows and set fires in the middle of streets, KNTV-TV reported. Woman, 68, fatally struck by six-wheeler while crossing Midtown street

A six-wheeler truck fatally struck a 68-year-old woman as she crossed a Midtown street Monday night, officials and witnesses said. The woman had just eaten at a nearby McDonald’s and was walking across E. 42nd St. near Fifth Ave. when the truck hit her just before 8:10 p.m., witnesses and police sources said.

“It was terrible. The sound was like, ‘Boom!’ ” said Jose Tavares 30, a security guard and witness. “She crossed in the middle of the street. She went down in the rear wheels.” The woman, whose name has not been released, died at the scene, an FDNY spokesman said. The truck, which belongs to Hugh O’Kane Electrical Co., was hauling two large spools of cable, and the driver stayed at the accident site.
