Bill: I wasn’t surprised Hillary fainted

Bill Clinton said he was “not surprised” his ailing wife fainted at a 9/11 memorial service last Sunday in lower Manhattan, playing down her spell by claiming that with “walking pneumonia … sometimes you can’t walk.”

The former president discussed Hillary Clinton’s medical episode Thursday in an appearance to promote the 12th — and final — Clinton Global Initiative on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”

“Well, you’re always concerned, but I was pretty sure I knew what it was because she had been working hard, she was dehydrated, she had been standing up a long time there, and, you know she wanted to go to that 9/11 ceremony, and we both thought it would be okay,” President Clinton told host Trevor Noah when he was asked whether he was concerned watching video of the fall.(nypost.com)…[+]

A horrific hazing ritual ended his life, and his family’s

Jordan Preavy had it all as a junior in high school after making the football team. But that dream quickly became a nightmare for the 16-year-old when he was sodomized during a hazing ritual. Witnesses told police Preavy’s head “snapped back and he looked pained,” yelling “No!” and “Get off,” as he was assaulted through his clothes with a broomstick by at least two older teammates in 2011. Nearly a year later, just weeks after his 17th birthday, Preavy killed himself.

“Life as I knew it pretty much ended,” Sean Preavy, Jordan’s father, told ESPN during an hour-long “Outside the Lines” special. (nypost.com)…[+]

Hero cop released from hospital after cleaver attack

The hero cop who was hacked in the face after tackling a meat cleaver-wielding lunatic was released from a Manhattan hospital Friday afternoon with a 6-inch wound stretching from his left temple to his chin.

More than a hundred NYPD officers gathered at Bellevue Hospital clapped and cheered for Detective Brian O’Donnell, who was off duty at the time of the chaotic encounter in Midtown Thursday. A somber-looking O’Donnell waved and thanked supporters as he was pushed out of the hospital in a wheelchair with his family by his side. Career criminal Akram Joudeh, 32, sliced O’Donnell in the head with the cleaver after O’Donnell tackled him as cops were chasing Joudeh at the start of the evening rush hour.(nypost.com)…[+]

Trump outlines specific goals for growth in economic address

Donald Trump outlined his economic vision Thursday, focused on putting America’s national interests first, as he called for robust economic growth, tax reform, reduced regulation and better trade deals.

“I’m not running to be the president of the world, I’m running to be president of the United States,” Trump said, assuring the Economic Club of New York that his plan is US-centric.

Trump gave specific goals — and policy details — urging the US “to start thinking big once again.”

“[I]t is time to establish a national goal of reaching 4 percent economic growth,” he said. Robust economic growth, he said, would help America recover from its financial woes. “Over the next 10 years, our economic team estimates that under our plan, the economy will average 3.5 percent growth and create a total of 25 million new jobs.”(nypost.com)…[+]

Taxpayers are fleeing New York in droves

Taxpaying New Yorkers are leaving in droves for other states.

In 2014, 126,000 tax filers fled to other places in the US — more people than in any other state, according to a study posted on newgeography.com.

The Empire State also lost the most “high earners,” who reported making more than $200,000 a year. “New York has been leading the nation in domestic migration for decades,” Wendell Cox, who co-authored the study, told the Albany Times Union.

While New York’s population is still growing, in part because of immigration, many residents are leaving for other states because of high property taxes, a lack of business opportunities and unaffordable homes.(nypost.com)…[+]

Americans have a sick feeling about Hillary Clinton’s health.
