One person shot as protests in Milwaukee rage on

MILWAUKEE — Police said one person was shot at a Milwaukee protest on Sunday and officers used an armored vehicle to retrieve the injured victim and rush the person to a hospital, as tense skirmishes erupted for a second night following the police shooting of a black man.

Some two dozen officers in riot gear confronted about 150 people who blocked an intersection near where the black man was fatally shot Saturday afternoon, and more arrived. Cop shot dead during traffic stop in New Mexico

Three suspects were in custody Saturday after investigators said one of them shot a New Mexico police officer in the neck during a traffic stop, killing him, before trying to speed away. Two of the suspects have criminal records and were wanted in a shooting last month that killed a 62-year-old man in Ohio, The Chillicothe Gazette reported.

After Friday’s shooting, crews airlifted Hatch, N.M. Police Officer Jose Chavez to a hospital in El Paso, Texas where he died, according to officials. The 33-year-old officer was a two-year veteran of the department. Dozens on JetBlue flight sent to hospital after bumpy ride

Twenty-four people, including two crew members, were injured when their JetBlue Airways flight from Boston to Sacramento, California, experienced heavy turbulence, CNN reported on Friday.

Flight 0429 landed safely on Thursday night in Rapid City, South Dakota, where the 22 passengers and two crew members were taken to the hospital, the news network reported. “Flight attendant was in galley during incident. Canadian police kill man suspected in suicide bomb plot
