Rosebel Gold Mines gives about 50% less to treasury
SURINAME – Rosebel Gold Mines NV, subsidiary of IAMGOLD, has contributed $53.4 million to the treasury in 2014. This is about 50% less than the sum that was given to the treasury in 2013 namely $ 107 million. The annual figures were presented at General Meeting of Shareholders on Wednesday. Masked robbers steal two cars in one day
SURINAME – Three masked robbers on Wednesday morning robbed two drivers along the Henarweg. About 40,000 ID cards produced
SURINAME – The Central Civil Affairs (CBB) has produced about 40,000 identification cards from Janauary until May 13 2015. Valerie Finsy, coordinator of the ID card work group, indicate that more ID cards were produced this time.
