Moestadja and D21 out of PL

AZP medicine supply guaranteed for one year

SURINAME – The medicine supply of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) is guaranteed for one year.  AZP General Director Antoine Brahim explained that the government has covered 50% of the bills after the hospital was not able to pay the people that deliver the medicines. Police officers went undercover to investigate prosecutor

SURINAME – Police officers reportedly were instructed to go undercover to investigate District Attorney RA. V7 beefs up election campaign

SURINAME – “The V7 bloc has decided to beef up its election campaign,” Mahinder Rathipal, secretary of V7, told Times of Suriname. “We have monitored several polls closely and do not trivialize any of them. We take all the results serious and all of them indicate that the people are not that familiar yet with the V7 brand. Political parties sent appeals to president

SURINAME – Political parties who do not agree with the decision of the main voting bureaus to cross several candidates off the lists have sent their appeals to the president.  The Amazone Party ( APS), Democracy and Development in Unity  (DOE) and the Mega Front bloc (MF) told Times of Suriname that they have dropped off their appeals at the Office of the President. Fire leaves 11 people homeless

SURINAME – Eleven people became homeless during the weekend after their home which is located along the Claudia Wensstraat at  Ephraimszegen went up in flames.
