Submitting election candidate lists by appointment only
Those who do not submit the lists of candidates one time, will not get a second chance to do that at a later moment. This means that if a representative of a political party is not present at the time agreed, that party or combination cannot participate in the election in that district. Two men arrested for fatal stabbing
Saturday night the police arrested two teenagers shortly after the fatal stabbing at the parking along the Lala Rookhweg. Police is still looking for the third offender. Rosebel to adjust work schedule on Election Day
SURINAME – Rosebel will reportedly adjust its work and bus schedule on Election Day, May 25, so that its employees can go to the polls. President rejects ODE’s complaint
SURINAME – The complaint that the ODE party presented to President Desiré Bouterse has been rejected. The chairman of ODE, Ferdinand Louis, told Times of Suriname that he does not agree with the decision to reject his party for a second time because of the 1% requirement. Parliament approves 2015 budget
