SURINAME – People who want to erect billboards in Paramaribo will have to cover certain expenses. The District Commissioner of North East Paramaribo, Jerry Miranda, explained that this is a source of income to the State and mainly to the district. SURINAME – A prison guard who allegedly rendered his services to an inmate was arrested on Monday.

Paulus Pinas, deputy director at the Ministry of Justice and Police (Juspol), confirmed the arrest and told Times of Suriname that the arrest was made after a quantity of marihuana had been intercepted.
